According to my business card I'm a financial advisor at the Fortis Financial Group. I help people plan for the future, invest their wealth, save money in taxes and manage portfolios.

But who else am I? I'm a Dad. Husband. Business partner. Stock market junky. Poker enthusiast. Health nut. And constant learner.

For many years, the slogan of my company has been "Enriching Lives". This was, what I thought, a clever play on words about how we help clients actually get richer as well as build a more enjoyable, meaningful life full of peace of mind. But what I've realized over the last year is that "Enriching Lives" is not just a motto for my wealth management business, it's actually my life calling. It's what I care deeply about and is what drives me to wake up early, read, write, study and continuously learn so I can improve my own life and the lives of those around me.

So what does it mean to live an enriched life? To me, it means living a life worthy of our calling. Our calling to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be... in every facet of our lives. This is a process of continual improvement. Continual maturity. Continual self-awareness. Continually stepping out of our comfort zone to grow and expand our capacities.
